Elizabeth (Lisa) Cogan

Elizabeth (Lisa) Cogan joined the Board in 2005.

For 30 years, she has been actively involved in both Ottawa community issues and in national issues as they have pertained to her board and committee responsibilities.

Nationally, Lisa has served on the executive of United Jewish Appeal Board of Canada (during her term, led the first fact-finding mission from Israel to Egypt, post the Egypt/Israel Peach Treaty) and, currently, she is serving on the executive of the Canadian Jewish National Fund Board of Directors and also on the Board of Trustees of the same organization.

Locally, Lisa has served on the Board  of the Ottawa General Hospital Foundation, the Ashbury College School Foundation, the Jewish Community Council of Ottawa/Vaad Ha'ir and the Board of Trustees.

In addition, she has been Chair or served in executive capacities of United Jewish Appeal-Ottawa, REACH, Friends of Ronald McDonald House, Partners in Research-Ottawa, State of Israel Bonds, Abigail Breast Cancer, Canada-Israel Cultural Foundation, and the Jewish National Fund-Ottawa.

She resides in Ottawa with her husband, Fred Cogan, Q.C. and is the proud mother to six sons.
