Connie Dalton
Dr. Dalton is currently involved in a number of applied and theoretical research projects in the area of mood disorders. Currently, she is involved in examining the genetic and psychosocial variables that influence treatment resistance in recurrent and chronic mood disorder patients. Additional research interests and involvement include the examination of psychosocial variables, such as coping and control processes, which influence adaptation to stress within specific psychiatric disorders, as well as across the developmental life span. In addition to being involved in these various research projects, Dr. Dalton is a clinical psychologist involved in the provision of direct clinical care using empirically-supported treatments, the development and evaluation of best-practice models in the treatment of unipolar depression and bipolar disorder, as well as the provision of clinical supervision for psychology practicum students and residents. She is a Researcher at the University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research, as well as a Clinical Professor at the University of Ottawa.
