Dominique Bourget (MD)

Dominique Bourget is Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Bourget obtained her medical degree at the University of Montreal and completed her specialty training in Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa. She works as a staff psychiatrist with the Forensic Program and Sexual Behaviours Clinic and the Schizophrenia Program at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. She is a coroner in the province of Québec and is also a member of the Ontario Review Board and Consent and Capacity Board. She was nominated a distinguished APA fellow in 2002. Dr. Bourget's main areas of research include family violence and homicide, psychosis, aggression and abnormal sexual behaviours. She has authored many articles and has presented both nationally and abroad on the results of her research work.
