John Telner (PhD. C. Psych.)

John Telner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Ottawa.

Dr. Telner's research has focused on obsessive-compulsive disorder, mood disorders, cognitive behaviour therapy and the treatment of pathological gamblers.

He is a recipient of the Paul Christie Award from the Ontario Mental Health Foundation (OMHF) for meritorious research in the area of neuropsychopharmacology during his tenure as an OMHF Research Fellow.

He works clinically in both the Mood Disorders and Anxiety Disorders programs at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. He has participated in the Specialized Extramural Training Program for Residency Training Directors at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research.
